Responsibilities of a Congregation Representative:
1.Faithfully attend the Orphan Care Alliance meetings which will be held at least 6 times per year.
2.Be an advocate for the fatherless in the local congregation by intentionally promoting the Orphan Care Alliance goals of: a.Ensuring that every Christian in Centre County is aware of the plight of the fatherless locally and globally. b.Motivating every believer in Centre County to engage in their responsibility to care for the fatherless. c.Providing the resources to help create well-equipped Christian homes for every fatherless child in Centre County.
3.Communicate with the congregation via bulletins, internet, pulpit, etc… the needs of the fatherless and the goals of the Centre County Orphan Care Alliance. (The CCOCA will have materials available to help with this.)
4.Actively promote, plan, and participate in the annual Orphan Sunday event the first Sunday of November.
5.Understand the culture of the local congregation and work proactively with the pastor to keep the needs of the fatherless in front of the congregation.
6.Report to the CCOCA what your congregation is doing to serve the fatherless.
