Care Community wrap around support team for a foster or adoptive family!
At any given time, there are 70 county children and youth in agency care. A number of them must reside out of county because there are no local foster homes for them. In the past 3 years, over 40 youth aged out of foster care without a family to support them. Foster families are always needed for teens, sibling groups, & children over the age of seven. Want to learn more about foster parenting? There are more than thirty-two local children on the wait list for Centre County’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Can you help by mentoring a child and becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister?

Lend a helping hand by joining our James 1:27 list. Foster & adoptive families and parents working to keep their family together often need an extra set of hands (or wheels). Could you drop off a meal, assemble a bike, help little ones with homework, mow a lawn, locate or pick up a donation (beds, strollers, etc. are always in high demand), babysit to give the family a break (background check required), or just be a ear for someone having a tough day. Help is especially needed during the transition time when a new foster child is placed with a family. We would so appreciate any assistance you can give! Sign up on our contact us page.
