In addition to the financial success of the event, we rejoice in what we are hearing...
Two days after the event one guest thought, if I see Thea Leddy (one of our speakers) at Bible study, I am going to talk with her about fostering. She did see Thea there but they didn't have time to talk after study so Thea just invited the lady and her family to dinner THAT NIGHT! The family called Children and Youth Services the next day to schedule an informational meeting!
Two days later our Coffee Talk Care Group had nine women in attendance with foUr attending for the first time! One mom sent a text later that day "I really want to make it (the group) a priority...because you guys ‘get it’. It's so nice getting together with others in the foster/adoption world because it makes everything seem normal.”
Three days after that Centre County Children and Youth Services begin a new foster care training session. Four of the 12 new families have had significant interaction with CCOCA! With the spring session full, three additional families are already signed up for their summer session!
Thank you for supporting the work of the Centre County Orphan Care Alliance through prayer, service, and financial giving. We are so very thankful for you!
